 What should we do to increase our motivation for studying English?

 Today’s lesson is about motivation for studying English. According to the lesson, people often lose their motivation when they don’t know why they study English clearly. Especially, university students tend to decrease their motivation because they finished studying English for an entrance exam. What we should do to increase our motivation for studying English? We should make goals, but it’s not indistinct, like becoming to speak English, but clear, like getting a high score of TOEIC more than 550. In conclusion, in order to raise our motivation, we should make goals that is not “should” but “ must”.

    Setting a clear goal surely helps you. Plus, why don't you connect English to something you like? For example, if you like Disney movies, then watch them in an original language; English. Reading your favorite books in English is also an example. I hope you will figure out what you enjoy the most with English. (Koyo)

  Today's lesson is about the effect of native languages. I was surprised that babies get rid of pronunciations which they don't need so we can't speak another languages well. I also think the differences between Japan and other countries in the class. For example, we usually take a lesson so quietly in Japan, but in America, many students tell others their opinions in a class. The culture shock affects learning other languages so we should not only practice to speak other languages but also study other countries' cultures in order to learn other languages.

Terrorists.'   Naylor and Munro looked at photos which two men were reflected in. The two men are terrorists and they faced each other in the photos. Naylor and Munro felt that something bad would happen, so they looked for the two terrorists. What would happend? Lesson 5

   Today’s lesson was about the way of studying foreign languages effectively. When teacher said repeating was good way, I remembered the way of studying English in high school. When I was a high school student, I had to take reading test in English class. It was we had to change Japanese into English. Of course it was difficult to do it instantly so I practiced many times at home and I took the test. I practiced it very hard at that time because I didn’t want to take the test again in teachers room if I couldn’t pass the test. However, I think the test was so effective to learn English. I don’t want to take the reading test forever but I should practice translating aloud like this test.
