The Canterville Ghost

 "When Mr Hiram B. Otis, the American Minister, bought Canterville Chase, everyone told him he was doing a very foolish thing, as there was no doubt at all that the place was haunted. Indeed, Lord Canterville himself, who was a man of absolute honour, had felt it his duty to mention the fact to Mr Otis, when they came to discuss terms."

  The story in this book is a family move to The Canterville, where ghosts live and the ghosts try to scare them, but they aren't scared. However, Virginia, who is a daughter and very kind, listens to what the ghost says. The writer of the story is Oscar Wild. 

  Ghosts appears in the book, but it is not horror, It is so funny. Even if  you don't like ghosts, you may like the ghost in the book. I don't like ghosts but I feel he is so cute that I like him!

Lesson 3

  Today's lesson is about the effect of native languages. I was surprised that babies get rid of pronunciations which they don't need so we can't speak another languages well. I also think the differences between Japan and other countries in the class. For example, we usually take a lesson so quietly in Japan, but in America, many students tell others their opinions in a class. The culture shock affects learning other languages so we should not only practice to speak other languages but also study other countries' cultures in order to learn other languages.

Terrorists.'   Naylor and Munro looked at photos which two men were reflected in. The two men are terrorists and they faced each other in the photos. Naylor and Munro felt that something bad would happen, so they looked for the two terrorists. What would happend? Lesson 5

   Today’s lesson was about the way of studying foreign languages effectively. When teacher said repeating was good way, I remembered the way of studying English in high school. When I was a high school student, I had to take reading test in English class. It was we had to change Japanese into English. Of course it was difficult to do it instantly so I practiced many times at home and I took the test. I practiced it very hard at that time because I didn’t want to take the test again in teachers room if I couldn’t pass the test. However, I think the test was so effective to learn English. I don’t want to take the reading test forever but I should practice translating aloud like this test.
