BOOK REVIEW ② #7: The Piano

     Today’s book is The Piano. This book is about a boy and a piano. I’ll introduce the story easily.

    A poor boy started to work at the farm. The farmers were kind to him. One day, he was asked to get things out and clean the warehouse. During the cleaning, he found one old piano the back of the room. He had never played the piano, but as soon as he touched it, he could play the piano. A famous musician heard his playing the piano and was impressed. He asked the boy to join a concert. It was a big concert. Can he success it?

'Take a look at these,' said Naylor.   He put two photos in front of Munro. Two men. There were names on the photos. One man was dark, Asian maybe. His name was Sam Tajik. The second man looked European - German or Scandinavian. Jonas Beck.   ' Sam Tajik. Jonas Beck,' said Naylor. 'Dangerous men. Terrorists.'   Naylor and Munro looked at photos which two men were reflected in. The two men are terrorists and they faced each other in the photos. Naylor and Munro felt that something bad would happen, so they looked for the two terrorists. What would happend? Could they found the terrorists?

Lesson 3

  Today's lesson is about the effect of native languages. I was surprised that babies get rid of pronunciations which they don't need so we can't speak another languages well. I also think the differences between Japan and other countries in the class. For example, we usually take a lesson so quietly in Japan, but in America, many students tell others their opinions in a class. The culture shock affects learning other languages so we should not only practice to speak other languages but also study other countries' cultures in order to learn other languages.

   Today's lesson was the introduction about the class. Teachers told us what we should do and what we can learn in the class. We need to do write one review about the lesson and books we read on the blog every week. Through this class, I want to learn the way of teaching English more effectively.
